Stacy has been dedicated to her work in mental health for over 15 years. She is passionate about providing clients with validating, nonjudgmental, and consistent therapeutic treatment. She recognizes that every person deserves respect and to be treated with dignity, no matter what they are going through.
Stacy is a firm believer that there is no such thing as “perfection,” but progress.
Stacy currently practices as a licensed professional counselor under the supervision of Jared Sparks, LPCC-S. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies with a concentration in Youth Development and a minor in Psychology from Kent State University in 2008. She then completed her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Akron in 2019.
Stacy has extensive experience in providing therapeutic services to children, adolescents, and young adults in various settings. She has worked in partial hospitalization programs, hospitals, public and alternative schools, as well as outpatient settings. As an LGBTQ+ affirming counselor, she is also trained in treating anxiety, depression, self-harm thoughts, suicidal ideation, and trauma. She has received advanced training in DBT and is experienced in utilizing CBT and other strengths-based approaches.
Thomas Taylor, LPCC

Thomas earned his Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor’s of Arts in Sociology from The University of Akron. Additionally, Thomas received his Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Akron.
He is currently a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC.)
Thomas has worked in community mental health for a number of years which helped him develop an eclectic counseling style. He has worked with populations of all age ranges from toddlers to older adults and with a myriad of mental health concerns.
Some of his specialty areas include: Gifted populations, anxiety, depression, trauma and adolescence issues. His theoretical perspective follows the integrative approach with emphasis on person-centered and solution-focused elements.
Thomas focuses primarily on helping individuals harness their will and integrity to strive towards their best selves in a nonjudgmental, growth oriented environment that allows for mistakes, learning and adaptation.
Mary Riposo LPCC

Mary received her B.A. in sociology from Emory University and her M.A. in Clinical-Community Mental Health counseling from the
University of Akron.
She has had experience working in both community-based agencies and private practices. Mary has worked with survivors of sexual assault and provided academic and emotional support to children in metro Atlanta.
She believes in a strength-based perspective and sees counseling as a tool by which empowerment, insight, and skills can be gained to improve self, relationships, and overall quality of life.
Mary has experience working in groups, with couples, and with individuals and primarily utilizes Dialectical Behavior therapy and Cognitive-Behavioral therapy and mindfulness-based approaches, and expressive techniques.
Mary enjoys working with clients to strengthen their ability to decrease anxiety and manage depressive symptoms and is experienced working with survivors of trauma, and has a passion for women’s issues and relationship-building skills. She has experience working with adults with ADHD, individual and couples LGBTQ concerns, issues related to body image and self-esteem , and addiction. She is currently completing the requirements to become a supervising counselor.
Brittany Lasorella, LISW

Brittany earned a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work after obtaining a Health and Human Services degree with a minor in Chemical Dependency Counseling. She then completed her Master’s degree in Social Work from Fordham University.
Brittany has extensive experience in providing therapeutic services to both teenagers and adults in various settings throughout Northeast Ohio. She has worked in acute care, residential, and outpatient environments, and is well-versed in treating depression, trauma, self-harm, OCD, substance use disorders, and personality disorders, as well as assisting individuals who are recovering from childhood abuse or neglect.
Brittany is dedicated to creating a safe and affirming space where individuals can explore past traumas and build future objectives. She has received advanced training in EMDR, ERP, and ACT, and is experienced in utilizing CBT and other strengths-based approaches.
Jared Sparks, LPCC-S

Jared earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Kent State University where he also minored in Human Development and Family Studies. He then went on to complete his Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walsh University. Jared is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor Supervisor (LPCC-S).
Jared has been practicing as a counselor in the Northeast Ohio area since 2019. He has experience working with children, adolescents and adults, and specializes in the following areas: trauma, adolescence issues, depression, anxiety and LGBTQ+ issues.
Jared is an LGBTQ+ affirming counselor and strives to create an environment that is safe and free of judgment for all of his clients. He is currently certified in EMDR and is completing his certification in TF-CBT as well.
Amanda Bushaw, LPC

Amanda Bushaw is under the supervision of Angela Rodgers, LPCC-S, LMHC, NCC
Amanda obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Texas at El Paso. She received her Masters’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Minnesota State University Moorhead. She is now a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Ohio.
Amanda has experience working in community-based mental health counseling centers and school-based mental health environments. She is passionate about working with LGBTQIA+ youth facing mental health problems and/or their identity concerns.
Amanda’s goal as a counselor is to provide a safe place for all individuals to exist without judgment. Healing is sometimes a complex process, and Amanda believes all people have a right to heal safely. Amanda works from a strengths-based and person-centered approach that is intended to use the strengths and experiences of the client to empower them to overcome all obstacles. Amanda has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults facing concerns such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, identity development, self-esteem, relationship building, behavioral concerns, and more
Taylour Kidd, LPCC

Taylour earned her Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the University in Findlay and her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walsh University. Taylour is a licensed professional clinical counselor (LPCC).
She began working in the mental health field as a case manager at a community mental health agency and has been working as a full-time counselor since graduating. Taylour has experience working with adolescents and adults with a variety of behavioral and emotional concerns, including depression, anxiety, ADHD, self-esteem issues, relationship issues, trauma, addiction, stress management, and adaptive skill-building to manage areas such as care tasks (feeding, cleaning, hygiene, etc.).
Angela Rodgers LPCC-S, NCC

Angela earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Kent State University and her M. Ed. in Community Counseling from Kent State University.
She has been a licensed professional counselor since 2002 and has worked in community health agencies and private practices in both Ohio and Indiana. She is also a licensed professional clinical counselor (LPCC-S) with a supervisory status in Ohio and a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) in Indiana. She is also a nationally certified counselor (NCC).
Over the past twenty years of being a counselor, she has worked with adults, children, and adolescents with various issues, including Behavioral and emotional problems such as ADHD.
Depression, anxiety, and grief/loss.
Oppositional behaviors.
Physical and sexual abuse.
Divorce.
PTSD.
Affirming LGBTQ+ gender, sexuality, and identity issues.

Sandy is often the first voice (and smile) you’ll encounter when calling or visiting. Both Sandy and our office manager, Alexis, can assist you with questions about completing the necessary paperwork, insurance, scheduling, and billing issues.
